A scheme which could create 19 new jobs in Laindon has been given the green light by councillors.
Members of the West Basildon Area Committee backed proposals to demolish an existing workshop on the Toomeys site in West Mayne, and build a new vehicle dealership with showroom, servicing, parts storage and offices.
The plans also include an extra 21 car parking spaces.
Committee chairman Colin Payne said: "We are very pleased to be able to support this, as not only does it possibly create new jobs, but it will also help enhance the appearance of the site."
