Essex are to stage their first floodlit one-day league match this season when Surrey provide the opposition at Castle Park, Colchester.
The game takes place on August 23 and tickets are already selling extremely well.
Acting Secretary Malcolm Fields said, "Anyone who is seriously anticipating attending the match should consider ordering their tickets in advance.
''We have completely sold our Corporate Hospitality packages and in the last two weeks alone, have sold in excess of £1,000 of advance tickets for the public.
"There is terrific interest in the game and I would suggest that people buy their tickets in advance to avoid any possible disappointment."
The cost of entry is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions while an extra £5 on both tariffs will reserve a guaranteed seat.
Members are allowed free entry but they can also reserve a seat at a cost of £5.
Tickets for this game can be purchased in advance in person at the County Ground with cash, cheque or credit/debit cards, or by telephone on 01245 254010.
They can also buy by e-mail: administration.essex@ecb.co.uk
or via the website:

using Visa/Mastercard/Delta/Solo or Switch.
