Mark Ramprakash, Devon Malcolm and Phil Tufnell are in the frame to lead a World Invitation XI in a match against Hadleigh and Thundersley cricket club.
The England trio have been provisionally pencilled in for the annual fixture at the Jon Burrows Ground in Rectory Road, Hadleigh, on Tuesday, July 18.
If all goes according to plan, they will be joined by former West Indies stars Phil Simmons and Alvin Kallicharran, India favourites Rahul Dravid, Sangury Ganguly and Anil Kumble, plus Hadleigh's own Test star, Devang Gandhi.
It is also hoped that many of the West Indies squad currently touring England will turn up for the match, which is now in its tenth year.
Hadleigh club spokesman Jon Wagstaff said: "We've had a meeting and it's now been confirmed that those nine players will be at the match.
"It is by no means certain that they will all play because we have to respect their contracts - Ramprakash, for example, may be unable to take part because of his England commitments.
"But we expect a great game of cricket for what is now the tenth successive running of this event."
The 40-over match has been organised through the connections of Neil Patel of the Leigh-based Centurion Bat Company, who has close links with many international sides, including the West Indies.
