A troubled prison has been thrown into turmoil by a second vote of no confidence in its governor.
Members of the local Prison Officers' Association are angry at working conditions in Hockley's Bullwood Hall Prison and blame governor, Viv Hart. They have requested a meeting with the deputy director general of the Prison Service.
Ms Hart, who arrived at the prison in 1998 following a damning Home Office report, is said to have created long and anti-social working hours. The officers' association also claims this has led to prisoners being forced to spend extra time in their cells.
Spokesman Michael Roe said relations with Ms Hart were "tense".
A spokeswoman for the Prison Service said the new staffing system was settling down at Bullwood.
She added: "The governor feels it is working now and she has no comment to make regarding the vote of no confidence."
