Forget Euro 2000 - a local artist is proving Britain has more to share with the Netherlands than football.
Braintree College's resident artist, Terry Flowers, is currently taking part in an exhibition which crosses the borders between England and Holland.
Mr Flowers was invited to take part in the exhibition by Dutch curator John Blaak, who is organising the event alongside the Hook of Holland tourist office.
The theme of the display, which runs until September, is Neighbours and five Essex artists were asked to take part with six artists from Holland.
His piece is a greenhouse, with the glass panels replaced by pictures of clouds and sky line, and has been placed on show with other artists' work along the Nieuwe Waterway, near the Hook of Holland.
Mr Flowers said: "With my piece I have tried to show something Essex shares with the Hook of Holland. I visited Holland and looked for a strong common visual link between the two countries.
"I discovered the two countries shared a very similar landscape, in that they both have a flat nature to them and both have big skies to compensate for this.
"The region in which the piece is displayed is a large area for greenhouses so I've tried to strengthen the link by having it as a greenhouse."
Mr Flowers is also taking part in an exhibition at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester, which has East Anglian landscape as its theme and for this he has created nine square casts of a section of ploughed field.
The exhibition opens on Monday and runs until July 7.
