Residents who kicked up a stink in the past over manure being stored behind their homes have been assured it should not happen again.
The homes in Fleetwood Avenue, Holland-on-Sea, back on to land where a field shelter and caravan are used to look after livestock and ponies.
Temporary permission has been regularly sought over the past 18 years and now Tendring councillors have agreed a full application.
Councillors heard that in the past concern had been expressed by residents after manure was kept behind their homes. But they promised any problems in future would be dealt with by environmental health officers.
