Southend's preparations for tomorrow's clash with Epping have been hit by an injury to Brad Everett, a century-maker in last week's win at Basildon.
Simon Duke steps into the breach following some good form for the Sunday side, but Everett's loss is still a tough one for the Division Three pacesetters.
Wicketkeeper Andrew Jarrett is one of three changes for Benfleet for their game at Woodford Green as they try to build on last week's win over Epping - their first for two years.
Quickie Stuart Wiggins is among those out, while all-rounder Paul Tremain makes a welcome return.

Leigh put new spin on side
Leigh put a different spin on their line-up for tomorrow's game at struggling Orsett , with whom they have had some real battles in the past.
Despite last week's derby win over Westcliff, skipper Simon Burch felt three spinners was too many and seamer Richard Bassett returns in place of John Elliott.
There's also a change on the batting front, with Mark Sexton taking over in the middle order from John Dyos.
In other First Division matches, Westcliff travel to South Woodford, Horndon face a home game with Colchester and high-flying Wickford aim to keep up their tremendous start away at Chingford.
