Brentwood won their Crowe Insurance League on Saturday by attaining an uncatchable lead of 11 points with three games still remaining.
Saturday's top of the table clash started tentatively with both sides limited to a few half chances and the score remained goalless at the end of the first half.
After the break, the game became a little more open and Brentwood claimed the winning goal.
A short corner demanded a good save from the Upminster goalkeeper, but the ball was bundled across the line by Brentwood's top marksman Matthew D'Arcy-Smith.
Not long after the restart, a quick turn by a home forward resulted in him having a clear if perhaps long run to goal.
This was stopped immediately and illegally by Simon Parsons whose reward was a yellow card and a spell behind the goal.
Upminster pressed their advantage and although they created chances, were unable to capitalise.
n Brentwood play their final home match of the season at Hedley Walter School this Saturday at 12.30pm, against Welwyn Garden City.
