Police are appealing for witnesses after nearly all the contents of a house were stolen.
Burglars got into the property in New Farm Road, Stanway, Colchester, and cleaned it out yesterday.
Among the items taken were a microwave, welsh dresser, freezer, washing machine, dryer, table and television together worth £1,500.
Det Sgt Roger Napier, of Colchester police, said: "Someone must have seen somebody taking those things because they would have needed a van to take the things away."
