Youngsters at a Thundersley school had a special brush with the law when they learned about a police expedition through the wilds of Thailand.

Metropolitan Police Officers visited pupils at Robert Drake School in Church Road, to tell them about the trip to set up a museum on the banks of the River Kwai last November.

The team of officers followed the route of the famous death railway built during the Second World War.

Officers wanted to build the museum as a memorial for all those who lost their lives while constructing the railway.
