A doctor who was suspended for 12 months for incompetence has been reinstated.
Taha Bhadra, of Roxwell Road, Chelmsford, was given conditional registration at a hearing of the General Medical Council.
He had been suspended by the Council's professional conduct committee in July 1998 after being found guilty of four counts of incompetence.
But at the hearing yesterday Malcolm Fortune, representing Dr Bhadra, said that since his suspension Dr Bhadra had completed a six-week clinical attachment during which he had improved his skills.
The committee decided that for 12 months his registration should be subject to stringent conditions, including supervision and assessment.
