Ensign are also leading the way in the Reserve Division. G Benson starred with a trio as Catholic United were beaten 6-0. With second-placed Thorpe out of action, Southchurch Hall stepped up their challenge witha 3-0 win at Sibar Sports, Sims getting all the goals.
Old Rochfordians kept top spot in Division One, but had to fight all the way to beat Thames Park 3-2 with Godfrey netting a treble. Westcliff Amateur slipped a place when held 1-1 by Little Theatre Club.
Thorpe, 3-1 winners over Wakering with Warner, Gallagher and Sweeting scoring, are the new second-placed side.
With the Division Two top two out of action, Airborne United flew into second place when they beat Customs and Excise 7-1. Wines was in sparkling form with four goals.
Southend Postmen are alongside Airborne after beating BKS Sports with Giles getting the only goal.
Flightspares got home 3-0 at Kilkenny to stay top of Division Three. Elliott, Butler and Boyd were the scorers. Leigh Ramblers 3rd, who won 4-2 at Thames Park 2nd, are their closest rivals.
Leigh returned to the top of Division Four. M Guy got two in a 3-0 win at Old Southendian 3rd.
Shoebury's Parsons Barn, thanks to Davis, Daymond and Coman, saw off nearest Division Five challengers Southchurch Hall 4th 3-2 to lead the way at the top.
Brook Sports kept their noses in front in Division Six when doubles from Ridley, Noble, Saunders and Warrick took them to an 8-0 success over Parsons Barn 2nd.
