As millennium fever dies down, pupils of a Leigh school have been given a lasting memento of this important time in history.
Everyone at West Leigh junior and infants schools has been awarded a souvenir mug to remember the first year of the new millennium.
All the 900 pupils as well as teachers, governors and support staff at the Ronald Hill Grove schools were given the mug.
Cup of year! - pupils show off their mugs hailing the year 2000
