PREMIER DIVISION

As a result of the leaders Beacon Hill Rovers and second in the table Marconi both losing, Tillingham Hotspur take over top spot after beating visitors Shelley Royals 6-2, Anthony Swanborough netting four of the Tillingham goals.

Braintree & Bocking United sent Beacon Hill Rovers to their first league defeat of the season, by beating them 5-3.

Andy Johnson opened the scoring after five minutes only for Beacon Hill's Chris Maycock to net twice to give the visitors the lead.

However, Braintree then struck three times to lead at the break via Terry Cleverly, Johnson and John Morgan goals.

Paul Welham pulled a goal back to make it 4-3 but reserve defender Craig McIntyre, on his first team debut, sealed a fine win for Braintree with five minutes remaining.

Southminster beat visitors Marconi 2-0.

David Etheridge set up Tristan Holliday to roll in the opening goal after 11 minutes and a James Bird header immediately after the restart gave the home side victory.

DIVISION ONE

Darren Wiffen's three goals went a long way to securing Marconi Reserves' 5-0 win over Tillingham Hotspur Reserves. Cook and Chitticks netted the other goals.

Paul Temple (2) and Darren King were on target for Margaretting at home to Outwood Common Reserves whose reply came via a Margaretting defender.

The Writtle derby saw the teams share two goals, Barry Davis on target for Writtle Manor before Writtle equalised.

DIVISION TWO

Old Brentwoods scored after only seven seconds at Herongate and led 6-0 at the break.

The home team got two goals back in the second-half but were never in the game, Emery (3) leading the old boys' scoring charts.

Moulsham Lodge remain top after beating lowly St Margarets 4-0, Andrews, Drain, Latimore and Monk the scorers.

Sandon Royals are in second spot after a 2-0 win over Brentwood , Jason Potter's two second-half goals giving them victory.

Southminster Reserves recorded a 4-0 victory at Old Chelmsfordians , James Norris (3) and Tony Gray the scorers.

DIVISION THREE

Benfleet Amateurs won 6-1 at second placed Springfield Rouge, Mark Wainwright (2), Steve Finning (2), Lee Mason (penalty) and an own goal their scorers. Martin Hooper netted Rouge's consolation goal.

Blackwater Royals thrashed hosts Silver End 7-1, Ian Mansfield (3), Grant Lunn (2) and Marcus Wilson (2), the Blackwater scorers.

James Adcock netted Boreham Reserves' equaliser at home to Old Chelmsfordians Reserves after the teams had shared a goalless first-half.
