The Dunmow & District Motorcycling Club has recently had its fixtures agreed for the coming season.

They are on Sunday, April 30 (Scramble), at Park Farm, Stebbing; on Sunday, June 4 (Grass Track), at Ugley Hall Farm, Ugley; and Sunday, September 3 (Grass Track), Ugley Hall Farm, Ugley.

All the events start at 1.30pm with practice commencing at noon.

The Scramble on May 2 includes a Round of the Eastern Centre Sidecar Championship in addition to a round of the Ace Four Stroke Championships.

The track at Stebbing includes a high take off jump and the competitors will be going clockwise around the track.

This makes it even more difficult to get out of the mud hole as the bank is steeper.

The track then includes a series of difficult bends whilst the tyres are still wet causing many solo riders to come to grief.

The first Grass Track on June 4 will be a Regional Restricted meeting and will cater for all solo and sidecar classes.

This is expected to draw a top class entry and ensure good tight racing on a large smooth circuit, especially set out so that the fastest bike doesn't necessarily win.

The second Grass Track on September 3 is a Round of the Eastern Centre Championships for all solo and sidecar classes, track watering equipment will be available.

Weatherline for all events is 01371 870123.

Club membership for 2000 is now available for both riding and non-riding members and anyone interested in joining is invited to contact Dean Lambert, 20 Willow Close, Broomfield, Chelmsford, Essex (telephone 01245 441072) for details and an application form.
