Manager of Billericay's Quilters Matt Sterry will be appearing on the TV's Blind Date on Saturday February 5 and now the Laindon Road venue is hosting its own version to coincide with the programme.
Matt, 27, from Chestnut Avenue, said: "I hardly remember what I said on the show, but everyone at the pub is looking forward to seeing it. I just hope I live up to their expectations."
Matt jetted off to Italy with his date, but love failed to blossom, now he is sorting out the hopeful romantics for the first Billericay show this Saturday night.
Matt said: "We have been interviewing people this week and hopefully it will be a good night."
The following Saturday the sofas will be rolled out to see what happened on the dates and to see Matt's own Blind Date debut.
