Colchester United have made a five-figure offer for 23-year-old Luton defender Alan White. The bid is believed to be between £20-£30,000.
White is in a similar situation to David Greene, who this week was the subject of a £30,000 offer from Cardiff City, as both players will be out of contract at the end of the season.
White played five games for the U's this season during a loan spell ending on Boxing Day.
Meanwhile, striker Steve McGavin could be a doubt for Saturday's trip to Reading. McGavin, who has netted ten times for the U's so far this season, is seeing a doctor as a precautionary measure.
"We are hoping it's just a cold and nothing more serious," said manager Steve Whitton.
Lomana Tresor Lua Lua came through a reserve match in midweek with no reaction to the injury he received after scoring twice against Bournemouth and will be fit for Saturday.
Also set to feature in the squad at the weekend are Richard Wilkins and Aaron Skelton who scored the winner from a free-kick in the same reserve game against Northampton.
