Grays welterweight Darren Bruce will be making the first defence of his IBO Inter Continental title at York Hall on Saturday, February 5.
The contest has been billed as the chief support for the vacant Commonwealth welterweight title clash between Scott Dixon and New Zealander Sean Sullivan.
Bruce will be eager to get back into the spotlight after some time out of action.
One thing is for sure, his opponent, Michael Smyth from Wales, will have his work cut out to wrest Bruce's title away from him.
The undercard features six more Matchroom boxers, all of whom are awaiting the identity of their opponents at the time of going to press.
These include the popular welterweight Paul Knights, exciting featherweight Marc P. Callaghan from Barking, cruiserweight Paul Maskell from Canning Town, Basildon cruiserweight Dean Doyle who will be making his professional debut, and light middleweight Richard Williams.
Steve Roberts, from West Ham, the former Southern Area light middleweight champion, returned to competitive action last month after a long lay-off.
Boxing cannot afford to lose such technically gifted boxers as the unbeaten Roberts. He will be welcomed by his legion of fans as he continues his comeback.
Unbeaten light middleweight Steve Roberts will be continuing his ring comeback at York Hall.
