Business adviser Daniel Watts believes in working lunches - but sometimes that can get out of hand.
Mr Watts, who works for Barclays Bank in Colchester, got more than he bargained for when he popped in to see a client at lunchtime - he ended up with his hands in the washing up bowl.
The midday rush was proving a bit of a headache for Brian Kavanagh, who has recently launched new sandwich shop Alfredo's in Short Wyre Street.
So Mr Watts got stuck in with the washing-up, sandwich-making and clearing up to help Mr Kavanagh through the busy period.
"I had popped in to see how he was getting on but his help had let him down and he was rushed off his feet. He did not want to turn down my offer of help," said Mr Watts.
Now the urgency has passed he still would not mind lending a hand again.
"I have helped him from the very beginning, looking after his business, so you could say this was all part of service."
