An excellent match took place in the fifth round of the National Fours on Thursday.
Against an Essex County BC Four which included two England Internationals, the Falcon rink of Nigel Gardiner, Stan Lee, Ernie Brockman and Mark Morhall lost by just one shot, 19-18, to Richard Hart, Robby Lawrence, Ray Cooper and Paul Maynard.
In the National Triples, an all Falcon battle resulted in Richard Ryder, John Steward and Tony Parker beating Ron Mahoney, Joe Ridley and Greg Moss by 18 shots to five.
In the National Over 60's Team Championship, the Falcon recorded a narrow win over the Jack's Centre, Latchingdon by five shots.
Terry Little's Four won by 22 shots to 15 and Fred Downing's held Jack's to two shots, losing by 22 shots to 20.
In the London & Southern Counties Shield, Falcon had a close match with Colchester IBC before winning 74-68.
Details (at Falcon): David Gildersleeve beat S Howard 18-16, and Fred Downing beat E Josh 23-22. (at Colchester): Joe Stamper beat R Hayhoe 21-13,and John Morgan lost to D Brady 17-12.
In the Ladies Essex County IBA Triples, Liz Wilson, Marian Bond and Pat Woodward beat a Triple from the Jack's Centre, Latchingdon by 22 shots to 13.
On Saturday, Falcon beat Sittingbourne & District IBC by 107 shots to 96 and also on Saturday, Falcon beat The Dengie Hundred BA by 125 shots to 88.
On Sunday, Falcon entertained RHP BC and won a close match, in which RHP won on two rinks, by 106 shots to 83.
