ESSEX INTERMEDIATE CUP THIRD ROUND

Old Chelmsfordians carried the flag for the league into the third round, and in a tremendous game, they led 2-0 after five minutes against a strong Marquis Sports side, who pulled back to equalise.

At the end of 90 minutes it was 3-3, and after a goalless extra time period, Marquis won through on penalties.

Ford, Parry and Chaston were the old boys' scorers.

PREMIER DIVISION CUP SECOND ROUND

Heybridge Social are aiming for the treble this year, and they did well to travel to Hutton, never an easy place to go to, and win 3-1.

Chris Heasman put Social in front before Hutton equalised.

Mark James then scored before Heasman netted his second goal to see Social home.

Also through into the last four are Woodham Town , who beat Springmill 2-1.

DIVISION ONE CUP SEMI FINAL

Brookhouse booked their place in the cup final at the expense of Ravens.

Graham Howson (2) and Carl Wilkinson netted to see Chris Dabrowski's team winning 3-0.

DIVISION TWO CUP

Springfield reached the semi finals after Lee Forster, Mark Fuller and Ken Wigley goals saw them to a 3-2 win over Great Baddow.

In the first semi final, Writtle Reserves scored a goal in each half without response from Chelmsford Social Club , Danny Hurd and Mark Gribble on target.

PREMIER DIVISION

Cherry Tree Sports beat Priory Sports 4-3, new signing Darren Harding netting a hat trick, and Rob Kennedy conceding an own goal.

Richard Wyatt (2) and Neil Clarke were on target for Priory.

DIVISION TWO

Fyfield Lion have had a good season to date, and Lee Varellis netted twice to help his side to a 2-1 success over Cherry Tree Sports Reserves.

Great Baddow Kings Head have struggled of late, and despite goals from Neil McCann and Darren Williamson, they went down 4-2 at home to Hatfield Peverel .

Greenbourne will feel that a 2-2 draw with Terling Social is a point lost in their challenge for promotion.

DIVISION THREE

Priory Sports Reserves confirmed their place as title favourites with a crushing 11-1 victory over Fyfield Reserves.

Reece Sinden led the way with five goals, while Dave Bartel (2), Richard Charlesworth, player/manager Steve Dawson, Ian Bishop and Ronnie Locker were also on target.

A hard fought game at Hannakins Farm saw Highfield Victoria return home with a 3-2 win.

Writtle Manor led twice at Margaretting SSC before running out of steam, Phil Masec, Andy Walton and Dave Breen on target for Margaretting who eventually won 3-2.
