ESSEX INTERMEDIATE CUP FOURTH ROUND
Cup holders Kelvedon Hatch visited Brampton Manor and the Hatch took another step along the road to the final with a 2-1 victory, thanks to Page and King goals.
Frenford Senior played host to Hutton and Liddle, G Young, Bradbrook and Blunden goals saw the home side to a 4-0 win.
Hatfield Peverel took their hopes of cup glory to Mistley United but the home side made progress with a 4-0 win.
Takeley entertained Caribbean Athletic but the home sides dreams of moving on were ended when the visitors won 1-0.
Wanstead Town were at home to Harold Wood Athletic but their effort from Collins was not enough as Marks and Sewell goals earned Harold Wood a place in the fifth round draw.
Writtle brushed away their poor league form to beat visitors Hale End Athletic , Newbury and Elliott on target for Writtle.
SENIOR DIVISION ONE
Leaders Bishops Stortford Swifts visited Metpol Chigwell and won 3-2, Hollemby netting all three Swifts goals, and Gilley and Moss scoring the replies.
Runwell Hospital entertained Ekco First Data , and Search's goal gave the visitors the lead but five minutes into the second period the game was abandoned due to an injury.
SENIOR DIVISION TWO
Basildon Town played host to Barnston AFC and the afternoon finished all square at 1-1, Chivers and T Salmon the respective goalscorers.
Hoping to pick up maximum points from the visit of bottom three Benfleet were third in the tableEpping but, despite leading scorer Wylie's two goals, they had to settle for a point as Markham and Shulver goals earned Benfleet a valuable draw.
Foot of the table Broomfield visited Herongate Athletic and the Brooms' goal from Pardo was just a consolation, as Pain (3), McCarthy, Russell and Tilley netted to give Herongate a 4-1 win.
Mountnessing's visit to top of the table Nortel saw their goals against total added to when Dean Perrett had a fantastic afternoon by scoring all his side's goals in a 6-0 thraoeshing.
Port of London entertained White Notley and a 2-2 draw was the outcome, Francis's two goals being matched by Grace and Rogers' goals for Notley.
SENIOR DIVISION THREE
Chalvedon slipped further off the pace when the efforts of Everitt and Chapman were not enough as visitors Shenfield Association won 3-2.
Coggeshall Town , despite Allen's goal, lost 4-1 at home to Old Chelmsfordians, Reeve, Goodman, Fleming and Reilly on target for the old boys.
Galleywood played host to Laindon Athletic and took over their place in the table as Lunn (3) and Clarke goals won the points before Aylett pulled a goal back.
A difficult afternoon looked on the cards for foot of the tableRamsden with a visit to third placed Manford Way but they put up a good performance and only went down by the odd goal, Bennett's effort being cancelled out by Gipps and Vesey goals.
With the leader's on cup duty, second in the table Upminster put their game in hand to good use when they visitedSpringfield , and won 4-1, with goals from Nagle (2), Steel and Berry before Lowden netted Springfield's consolation goal.
Great Baddow were at Stambridge , and the home side recorded their fifth success as Surtees, Ward and Rippington found the back of the visitors net.
RESERVE DIVISION ONE
Broomfield entertained Writtle, but despite saving two penalties, the Broomfield goalkeeper saw four goals go past him.
At Kelvedon Hatch, Benfleet missed out on valuable points as their goal from Smith was not enough to stop their hosts, who won 2-1, thanks to Whittaker and Wright goals.
Rayleigh Town were at home to table topping Essex Police and ended their unbeaten start as they won 3-0, Hill, Saunders and Winter the scorers.
Sandon Royals played host to Bishops Stortford Swifts who kept up their title challenge with a point from a goalless draw.
Shell Club beat visitors Frenford Senior 1-0, Bacon's effort lifting Shell out of the bottom two.
