An airbus carrying 152 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing at Stansted Airport after it suffered fuselage damage.
A full investigation is under way after the Airtours International Europe-bound flight landed safely at the airport at around 8.35am yesterday (Thursday). It is believed no-one was injured.
The pilot raised the alarm shortly after take-off from London Gatwick airport because he suspected the tail had been damaged when an engine cover fell off.
The incident comes just a month after a Korean Airline crashed killing four crew members.
