Jeremy Harvey and John Handelaar have booked their place in the semi-finals of the Southend and District LTA winter championships.
They defeated David Tubbs and Graham Bloomfield 6-1 2-6 6-4 to secure a berth.
Harvey and Handelaar will be facing Simon Chesher and Lance Owen, who beat Tim Willcock and Steve Wynn 6-4 6-2 in the quarter-finals.
The other semi-final will see Carey Willson and Andy Bacon take on Simon Bonham and Mark Bertola. Willson and Bacon defeated Bryan Rivers and Richard Barham in their quarter-final.
The semi-final matches have to be played at some stage before the finals at the end of March.
Thorpe Bay's men's team tasted victory in Division One of the Essex Winter League with a 3-1 win over Upminster-based Cranston Park.
Jon Lee, Andrew Ferguson, Graham Bloomfield and Nick Williams were the winning Thorpe Bay team, who were facing a quartet including highly-rated David Jacques.
Division Two action saw Southend Lawn travel to Westcliff Lawn in a derby match which the hosts won 3-1.
Southend were represented by Mark Connelly, John Harris, Tim Padbury, while the victorious Westcliff quartet were Dave Lamb, Nick Brown, Gary Reynolds and Ian McDonald
Westcliff Lawn defeated Brentwood Lawn 4-0 in Division Three of the Essex Winter League.
Lawn were represented by Lesley Pitt, Fiona Fisk, Sarah O'Sullivan and Nicola Hopkins.
Westcliff players Neil Clark, Sue Jackson, Keith Brohl, Lyn May, Judith Hudson and Ian Pitt enjoyed a 9-0 victory in the Chigwell David Lloyd Centre's winter leagues.
They beat NCTB, a team featuring south Essex players Bernard Horwood, Kirsten Mills, Roy Bickel, Victoria Mills, Mike Mower and Pasqueline Frayn.
