Channels Golf Club Ladies Section played their January monthly medal this week.
The silver division was won by Tina Daw who scored 36 points, and the bronze division was won by Joyce Thorndyke with her 33 points.
The men continued with the fourth round of the Winter League in which Gavin Wood starting on the 9th, scored a 'hole in one' on the 17th without touching a blade of grass.
He teed off from a winter mat and put the ball straight into the hole - a 'slam dunk".
A limited field of gentlemen played in the January Monthly Medal at Regiment Way Golf Centre once the frost had cleared from the greens on Sunday.
The winner was Dave Doy with his gross 81, handicap 16 and resulting net 65.
Roddy McLeod was second on 97,27,70 followed by third placed Mike Simmonds whose 90,20,70 lost out on countback for the second spot.
