SENIOR DIVISION ONE
Rayleigh were at Frenford Senior on Saturday but goals from Taylor, Rich and Thompson failed to bring in the points as the home efforts from Ainsworth, R. Farlow (2), Hunt, Collard and Young saw them move up to second place.
They are on the same number of points as leaders Bishops Stortford Swifts, but Frenford have played two games more than the Swifts.
Kelvedon Hatch visited Runwell Hospital and an entertaining game saw honours finish all square from a goalless afternoon.
Sandon Royals and Hatfield Peverel met with points needed for different reasons, so the blank scoreline may have helped them both.
SENIOR DIVISION TWO
Harold Wood Athletic gained maximum points when they beat lowly Benfleet 2-0, Lynn and S. Field on target.
Nortel visited Hutton whose goal from Ames failed to stop the visitors regaining top spot as Hoddle (2) and Perrett netted in a 3-1 win.
Epping visited Mountnessing but goals from Wylie, Bulled and Lee were not enough as Ruby, Ingram, Key and Batt (2) gave the home side a 5-3 win.
At Port of London ,Basildon Town failed to break through the home defence and Francis' goal gave the hosts a 1-0 win.
White Notley's goals by French and Twin failed to stop Barnston A.F.C. , who won 4-2, thanks to Wingar (2), Ribbens and Harris goals.
RESERVE DIVISION THREE
Barnston A.F.C. led Laindon Athletic 3-1 and then missed a penalty but Laindon hit back to win 5-3, via Savage (2), Kennett and Murphy (2) with Allsup (2) and Jastrow goals.
Basildon Town lost 2-1 at home toShenfield Association, Smith and Chapman on target for Shenfield.
Chalvedon beat visitors Great Baddow 6-0, Bodell (3), Saunders, and Jahngir strikes being added to by an own goal.
AtCoggeshall Town , the home sides goal by Hall was their only crumb of comfort as visitors Port of London won 12-1, through O'Dowd (8), Mallett, Tevenen and Brooks goals.
Epping extended their lead at the top to two points after an odd goal success over Manford Way thanks to Colley and Brickman goals.
Lowly Galleywood entertainedHutton and scored through Eaton but that was their only joy as goals from Tuerena (3), Gordon and McDonagh saw Hutton to a 5-1 success.
