Neil Aldis's goal gave Mayland Village the lead at Eight Ash Green , but the hosts recovered to win.

It was the same story for Southminster at Halstead Sports & Social Club , where the Saints led via a Darren Harding penalty at half-time, but gifted the home team two second half goals to bow out.

DAVE STRACHAN CUP SECOND ROUND

Ravens produced a shock by defeating the previously unbeaten Beacon Hill Rovers 4-3.

Hill led 2-1 at the interval but Ravens came back to claim a fine victory.

R. Cherry, P. Cherry, D. Stacey and A. Salmons were the Ravens scorers, while Maycock (2) and Tony Woods (penalty) were on target for the Rovers.

Silver End , with goals from Luke Gray and David Rose, recorded a 2-1 victory over Hopes Green .

PREMIER DIVISION

Outwood Common, bottom of the table and without a victory before Saturday, caused a major upset by beating leaders Marconi 3-1, Lynden Stone, Jeff Totman and Richard Sunderland the Common scorers.

Dan Bishop netted the solitary Marconi goal.

Braintree & Bocking United did well to come from behind three times at Tillingham Hotspur to share the points.

James, Buckle and Andy Dowling netted for Tillingham while the Braintree scorers were Andy Johnson and Steve Hammond (2).

Goals from Hatcher, Wilkin and Rodda helped Burnham Ramblers to a 3-2 victory over visitors Hannakins Farm .

DIVISION ONE

Bottom of the table Latchingdon surprised second placed Margaretting by beating them 2-1, White scoring both the Latchingdon goals.

Rob Dennis netted a hat-trick for Tillingham Hotspur Reserves in their 5-1 win over Writtle Manor , whose goal was netted by Murfitt.

Wiffin and Sterland scored for Marconi Reserves in their 2-0 win over Outwood Common Reserves .

DIVISION THREE LEAGUE CUP REPLAY

Rainsford Reserves will be glad to see the back of Boreham Reserves' Tony Constantides.

In the first game, which finished in a 6-6 draw, he scored five of Boreham's goals, and on Saturday he netted four times to send the home team into the semi-finals with a 5-2 victory. Scott Mason was also on target for Boreham.
