A five-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer has been given a new lease of life thanks to generous Colchester pub regulars.
Little Toby Smith, of Bradfield Road, Wix, is getting around thanks to his first wheelchair which gives him a new outlook on life.
Toby, who used to live in Juniper Way, Colchester, previously had to stay in a pushchair when he was not walking using a special frame.
The £1,600 special electric chair has been presented to Toby by the Victoria Inn, in North Station Road, Colchester, following fundraising by generous customers.
Toby's dad Arron said: "Getting the chair has been a real boost to Toby and the whole family. It certainly gives him a new outlook on life."
Toby lives with his dad and brother Jack, six, in a specially-adapted bungalow. He attends a special school and his family are determined he should get as much out of life as possible.
