The Vange Sunday League will, at their first meeting of the new century next Monday, present each participating team with a brand new match football.
League secretary Charlie Francis explained that the management committee considered that it would be an excellent start to the new year to equip all teams with a ball as a gesture that clubs are receiving something back from the expenditure they incur through fines.
The Vange League is believed to be the only competition in Essex to have made such a commitment and the secretary reminded clubs that they'd also benefitted this term from a 50 per cent reduction in subscriptions.
The League will shortly be looking at the feasibility of repeating any of the incentives next term.
Any club interested in joining the Vange Sunday can ring Mr Francis on 07931 344681 for full details.
