Celebrities and staff at Westcliff's Cliffs Pavilion cracked open the champers after hearing ticket sales for this year's pantomime had reached a record high.
When the production of Jack and the Beanstalk ends on Sunday, more than 58,000 people will have seen it. Spread over the 47 performances, this means the theatre has enjoyed its highest ever audience figures.
Most performances over Christmas and new year played to full houses, with people coming from all over Essex, Hertfordshire and east London to see the show, which stars funnyman John Inman, London's Burning actor Glenn Murphy, and Gladiator Vogue.
Cliffs director Chas Mumford is delighted with the ticket sales.
