A trucker from Braintree was arrested after a lorry overturned, crushing a car driver to death in Suffolk.
The accident happened at around 8.20am on Monday on the A140, north of Bury St Edmunds.
David Pierce, 30, from Norwich, was crushed when the lorry turned on its side, trapping him inside his Rover 200 car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people had a lucky escape after their VW Golf was also pinned under the lorry. Driver David Mullenger, 33, of Yaxley, Patricia Huckvale, 38, of Diss, and youngster Melissa Huckvale were all uninjured in the accident on the southbound carriageway of the notorious A140 at Stuston, near Eye.
The lorry driver - a 23-year-old Braintree man - was treated for what were described as "slight injuries" at Ipswich Hospital.
He was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was questioned by Suffolk Police and released on police bail.
