Rayleigh Lodgers will be hoping to step up their bid for the Southend Wednesday League championship tomorrow with victory over Chemico at the Ekco Ground.
Lodgers moved into top spot in shock fashion when, as they were beating Southend Police 5-1, previously leaders Southend Postmen were being thrashed 7-2 by bottom club LTS Rail.
Bess (3), Lawrence (2), Harvey and Liddell got the railmen's goals with Dack and Forrester replying.
Jackson and White got two apiece for Lodgers in their win with Lee Dickens completing the tally. Graham replied for the lawmen.
An own goal, Smith and Leslie helped Chemico beat Grays Police 3-2. Allen got both for the losers.
In tomorrow's other League games, Grays Police play LTS Rail at the Fire Brigade Ground, Aveley, while Southend Police meet Basildon Post Office at Eastwoodbury Lane.
The programme is completed by Southend Postmen taking on Basildon Police at Cupids Country Club, Great Wakering, in the quarter-finals of the Senior Charity Competition.
