Traffic measures on roads in Great Bentley are to be clarified.
It follows a letter to the parish council from Essex County Council's highways department outlining areas in its locally determined programme.
Rod Curtis inquired whether speed bumps due for Station Road in the village would be installed and if HGV restrictions would be put in place as they did not appear to be in the letter received.
He said: "I'm concerned it isn't shown, I think we just need to concentrate their minds."
Christine Black said there were other areas for concern including the A133.
The council is to write to the county council raising its concerns.
