Miss Gillespie hoped that annual RSPCA campaigns not to give a pet as a Christmas present Bobby the collie cross's New Year's resolution to find a loving owner may come true with a little help from Wethersfield's RSPCA animal home.

Abandoned Bobby, who is about three, was one of the unwanted Christmas presents given to the centre over the festive period. Home manager Maxine Gillespiewere finally sinking in.

Despite the comparatively quiet Christmas there are still a great number of cats and dogs looking for a new home.

If you are able to give Bobby or any cat or dog at Wethersfield a home please contact the centre on 01371 851201 or visit between 10am to 3pm any day except Monday.
