After a break between Christmas and the arrival of the new millennium, the young soccer stars of South-East Essex return to action this weekend.

Along with the players themselves, Echosport's youth football photographer MALCOLM STOCKWELL will again be out and about on the playing fields, capturing team and action pictures of the stars of tomorrow.

If you have a big match coming up at Southend Junior, Thundermite Youth or South-East Essex Mini-Soccer level, give Dick Marshall a ring on 01268 522792 (ext 2334) if you would like Malcolm to pay you a visit.

Coopers Football Club are looking for friendly matches at under-10 level at either seven or 11-a-side.

The Southend-based team currently meet on Saturday mornings for fun, and have about 20 lads playing.

The year 2000 may have only just begun but Southend-based Trinity Juniors are already looking to the future.

The club wants new players for all positions for its under-sevens, under-eights and under-nines teams for the 2000/01 mini-soccer season.
