A man has been arrested after another man suffered knife wounds to his chest and neck.
The wounded man, who is in his 40s, was injured during an incident in Chestnut Way, Brightlingsea, early on Wednesday.
He had knife wounds to the upper chest and lacerations to his neck.
An ambulance took the man to Colchester General Hospital at 4.20am. His wounds are not life-threatening.
Police were called to the house at about 4am. A 20-year-old man was arrested and was due to be interviewed by police.
