A teenager was treated for facial burns after a freak accident on New Year's Eve.
Paramedics were called to St Peter's Hospital in Maldon, where the 18-year-old girl works in the kitchens, at just before noon on New Year's Eve.
She was flown by air ambulance to Chelmsford's Broomfield Hospital.
David Palmer, from Essex Ambulance Service, said: "When she opened the oven the waft of hot air gave her flash burns."
Mr Palmer added the injuries were superficial.
