Search teams have found the second flight data recorder from the jumbo jet which crashed at Stansted.
Investigators recovered the black box from the main crater of the crash site.
The Korean Boeing 747 came down near Great and Little Hallingbury last Wednesday.
As this was the main priority of the search, officers have been withdrawn from the site for a further risk assessment to be carried out.
There is still corrosive and dangerous cargo unaccounted for.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said: "Although it is likely the material was destroyed in the explosion officers will not be put at unnecessary risk if there is now no need to continue the search."
The crash site will remain cordoned off until investigators are certain the search is complete and the area has been cleared and made completely safe. In the meantime the air accident branch is reassuring that any hazards are within the confines of the immediate crash site and even here the danger is minimal.
