Police are worried about a teenage girl seen being forced into the front passenger seat of a white car in Fremnells, Basildon, at the junction with Broadmayne.
The girl, aged 13 or younger, 5ft 4ins with blonde hair in a pony tail, and dress size ten, was bundled into the car by a man aged around 35 with short blond or gingery wavy hair. He was white, around six feet two, wearing a dark knee-length leather jacket and jeans.
The man told a woman nearby that the girl, who did not appear to be distressed, was a relative.
Basildon police on 01268 532212 want to hear from the people involved, anyone who recognises their descriptions, or any witnesses to the incident at 4.20pm on Sunday.
