Success came to Chelmsford & Anglia Polytechnic Fencing Club who scooped County Championships in both the Sabre and Foil events and a string of Silver Medals in the Epee events at the Essex County Fencing Championships at the weekend in Chelmsford.
Excellent performances by Christopher Sullivan and Richard Sims, both local fencers, resulted in the double triumph for the Chelmsford Club.
Club organiser, Don Cook, attributed the excellent set of results to the recent acquisition by Anglia University of coach, David Sach, from Writtle.
David, 21, has a series of national and International honours, culminating in a Commonwealth Games Silver Medal.
Don Cook said: "Our competition results have gone from strength to strength since David started coaching at the club.
''His experience and excellent training sessions have paid dividends in setting the professional expertise of the team.
''These results build upon the numerous victories already won by the club, so watch out for our results at the Eastern Region Championships in January."
Returning in excellent form, Anglia Polytechnic University student captain Christopher Sullivan claimed the Sabre title, in his first competition since recovering from a fencing injury, which he sustained in the summer.
Sullivan, who is studying business at Anglia University, won the title, after beating Simon Laight of CADS, ranked 11th nationally, in the final, 15-7.
