An imaginative display of balloons, top hats and a cheery new year banner has won a Wickford shop a top prize.
Domestic Appliance Services, in London Road, won first place in the town's annual best decorated shop competition and will be presented with a trophy.
Joint owner Dave Medcalf said: "We're really pleased. My daughter-in-law Mandy did it for us and we have received lots of compliments."
Wickford Electronics, in the Broadway, took second prize and Angela's Florist, in London Road, came third. The house judged to look the most festive from the outside was 1 Carlton Road. Second place went to 137 Southend Road and 148 London Road took third prize.
