Staff and students at a Benfleet school were gripped by the festive spirit when they held a seasonal carol concert.
Pupils at the Appleton School in Croft Road, put on a performance for parents and residents living nearby.
About 250 people watched the concert which included songs played by the school's orchestra, jazz band and pop group. A collection of nearly £135 was raised for the Meningitis Trust.
