The Co-operative netball team from Grays has battled its way through a testing local league to take runners-up position.
The ladies from the team, sponsored by Co-operative Funeral Services in Hathaway Road, won a trophy for coming second in the South Essex Thurrock Netball Association Competition.
Co-op Funeral Services area manager Chris Houghton (pictured above with the team) presented the ladies with their cup.
"We are a strong supporter of the local community and we are delighted to present the netball team with the trophy that they deserve," said Mr Houghton.
"As always, we wish them every success in the coming season."
The Co-op team is currently looking for new players. Contact Jane Coles on 01375 859225 for further details.
