There were wagging tails galore when the annual Colchester and District Canine Society winter dog show took place.
More than 500 dogs entered into the fun of the contest which was held at Leisure World in Colchester yesterday.
The real star of the day was long haired miniature dachshund Kiddles Worthington, owned by Jackie Halsall who won the title of overall best dog in the show.
Golden retriever Lorinford Casey Jones won the coveted award for best puppy in show.
The show was organised by the Colchester group for the Kennel Club and was visited by Colchester mayor Martin Hunt.
Val Thompson, of the Colchester and District Canine Society, said she had been pleased with the number of entries in this year's show, but added it had been a little chaotic as a few of the judges were unable to make it as they had been snowed in at their homes in Wales.
The next show organised by the group will take place on February 27.
