Billericay Town will be unable to field new winger Alan Harding in tonight's Ryman League Cup third round clash with fellow Premier Division side St Albans at New Lodge.
Harding is cup-tied having already played for previous club Bishops Stortford in the competition.
Recent defensive arrival Chris Moore is ineligible as he didn't turn out for last club Canvey in their only game in the competition, but he could be sidelined by injury after limping off in the closing stages of Saturday's home League defeat by Walton and Hersham.
Other bad news is that striker Colin Simpson, although having completed a one-match ban, won't be returning as he is still suffering from the effects of a hamstring injury.
Brighter news is that definitely in line for a starting spot this evening (kick-off 7.45pm) is Steve Blaney, the former Welsh Under-21 international whose Billericay career has been badly blighted by injury since he joined the New Lodge camp last season.
St Alban's are enjoying a tremendous season and won through to the FA Cup first round before losing to Northern side Bamber Bridge.
In the League they are currently leaders Dagenham and Redbridge's closest rivals, having lost just two of their 17 games.
One of those defeats was at the hands of Billericay by a 3-1 margin at New Lodge in the League in October, but since then Gary Calder's men have suffered three setback in four games on home territory.
Things have been much brighter away for Town, but their biggest enemy tonight could be the weather as the New Lodge surface was yesterday reported as being very heavy as more rain poured down following the weekend deluge.
Those travelling to the match are advised to contact the Townline on 09066 555949 before setting out.
