A mystery woman was today celebrating a £108,000 bingo win at Southend's Mecca club, fast becoming one of the luckiest in the UK.
The 59-year-old widow, who lives on Canvey, was so shocked after her numbers came up that she could barely fill in the claims form.
The woman, who does not wish to be named, scooped the National Bingo Game prize of £100,000, the regional prize of £7,947 and the house prize of £256.
She completed a full house in 42 numbers, the fewest anywhere nationwide.
A regular player at the club, the woman joined in 1993 and was playing on Friday with a friend when her win was confirmed.
Customer services manager, Graham Barrow said: "The lady carried on playing, but I don't think she knew what she was doing.
"She could barely write her name on the claims form because she was shaking so much."
The club's winning streak on the National Bingo Game has seen five national and 15 regional winners this year, collecting a total of £524,559.
Early last January, a 29-year-old Chelmsford man won £106,396 and in April, 25-year-old Justin Bolton, a Stansted Airport employee, won £106,135.
In July, a local woman won £58,343 and in September, an 84-year-old Southend man won £53,634 on the Saturday afternoon game.
