Shoppers hunting for that special Christmas outfit may find more than they bargained for at this Fair Havens Hospice Shop.
The shop in Furtherwick Road, Canvey, has millennium party outfits on offer including outlandish hats and coats, wedding suits and Cleopatra and Marilyn Monroe fancy dress costumes.
A Fair Havens Hospice spokesman said: "The shop has often had interesting items donated such as fancy dress and novelty outfits, all of which can be found for sale at very reasonable prices.
"It also stocks other donated clothing, bric-a-brac and books which all helps to provide much needed income for Fair Havens."
The Christian hospice in Westcliff offers care to patients from across south Essex who are suffering from terminal illnesses.
It relies on the support of the community to raise most of its estimated £1.2 million annual running costs.
