A pensioner was sitting watching TV when a car smashed through his garden wall.
Ronald Pogson, 67, was in his flat in Daniel Drive, Shrub End, Colchester, when a Rover Metro car careered through the front wall.
He said: "I just heard a noise. I was watching TV and heard an almighty bang.
"The driver must have just come along the road and misjudged the corner and taken the fence, gate and all the brick wall and ploughed the car right into the garden."
Police later arrested two youths in connection with the incident which happened at 4.30pm on Wednesday night.
