Ipswich captain Matt Holland is not worried about Town's latest failure to turn possession into goals - this time against Nottingham Forest.

Holland scored the only goal to beat David Platt's expensive under-achievers at the City Ground on Sunday.

But for the second week running Ipswich failed to convert a wealth of possession into goals and kept the travelling faithful waiting until the 79th minute for the winner.

Their win moves them up into fourth in the table and they are now just five points behind league leaders Huddersfield.

Holland said: "I thought we were good, in the first half especially when we passed it round well. I thought we created some good chances and we should have gone in leading. It was a bit more open in the second half."

"You'd like to be killing teams off earlier with the amount of possession we are having but we are pleased with the way things are going."

"If we get three points against Crystal Palace we'll be right up there."

Player-coach Tony Mowbray agreed this was not the first time Ipswich had missed chances, a failure which has already cost them this season.

"We had a lot of chances. We've had other games like that this year - Manchester City away springs to mind. We said at half-time 'let's not have the same result'."

But Mowbray thought Ipswich had turned the corner after going through a lean spell.

"Every team goes through peaks and troughs and I think we went through our own. There was a period where we hadn't won in four games but we have come through that now."
