Cup joy and pain
There were mixed fortunes for the two local sides playing in the third round of the FA Umbro Sunday Cup yesterday afternoon.
Southend Sunday League Oakwood Sports won their way through to the last 16 with a brilliant 3-0 success over Belstone at Radlett in Hertfordshire.
However, Sceptre League Aspect Sports saw their run in their first year in the competition come to an end.
They went to Birmingham and were crushed 7-1.
Tackling times - the second teams of Carlyle Sports and Hawkwell Athletic go into Southend Sunday League Section C Charity Cup round two action yesterday with Hawkwell winning 3-1.
